I always provide honest advice for your specific situation. I’m not trying to sell you anything, or manage any investments. I just want to help you plan how to get outdoors for the rest of your life without having to worry how to afford it.

As an ongoing planning client with Outdoor Life Planning we’ll take you through our Memories & Money Decision Making Framework. The first meeting is a free overview meeting where we get to know each other, and get a sense of where your money life is at. This is big picture hopes and dreams kinds of stuff, we’re not dealing with any specific numbers yet. Ideally we’d do this outdoors while taking a walk by the river, a hike, or something like that. I believe we think differently when we’re outdoors and doing something, there’s often more clarity than when we’re in an office. Even if we don’t live in the same place, we can both be outdoors doing something we love. No need to sit indoors when we can be out enjoying the beauty of nature.

After that, if we feel this would be a worthwhile relationship, we’ll work to get a better understanding of what’s important to you in life and why, even as we start to look at how your money can best support that.

Often it works well to get a good sense of the overall situation right now before we spend too much time making sure the money is doing it’s best or most desirable work. It all depends on what makes the most sense in your situation though.

As we get a handle on the current situation we also work to better define what's important to you to get out of life. We'll then start to talk about what that future life might look like, and what areas of your life and money we'll need to focus on in order to get you there.

Don’t go broke or move away. Living in a mountain community and planning/saving for the future is not an either/or proposition.

We'll meet every month or so to check in, make sure we're still on track and do some work on the next area we're focusing our attention on. You'll also have access to me any time though through email, and we can arrange meetings as needed as well.

I charge a monthly fee for my services, which you can see below, and you can cancel at any time.

Because I know that the system doesn’t treat everyone the same, and that the way we are perceived by society affects our ability to earn, the fee I charge is based on your income. I'm doing my best to make my services available to anyone who needs them, no matter their capacity. If the amount suggested based on your income doesn’t feel like it will work, I’m happy to talk about finding something that will.

Scale:
0-30k: $25/month
30k-60k: $50/month
60k-100k: $75/month
100k-150k: $100/month
150k-200k: $155/month

Outdoor Life Planning uses a pay what you can model and a sliding scale based on income. This helps make money/financial advice available to everyone and means that those who are able to pay more subsidize those that can’t so that everyone is able to plan how to get outdoors for the rest of their lives, without the money stress.
