This week I have choices on my mind.... again. They're just so important. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm doing some self reflection on my choices.
Once Again, It's About Choices
I'm not sure if I'm just drawn to quotes about choices these days, or if the mindset I'm in at the moment sees most of the quotes that way. Probably both. I'm just really feeling the "we have to make choices" vibe these days, and working through what the choices are in my life as well, and why I'm making them. Thinking about the 'why' of a choice is potentially as important as recognizing and making the choice. The 'why' of a choice is what lets us compare one thing against another. Why do I want to do this, or not do that? Actually thinking about that is what helps us decide between them.
We Need To Do The Work
A great app is nothing if we don't us it. I kick @ss workout plan is fantastic, but it only does so much good if you never do it, or worse, never even look at it. ... Actually I'm not sure if that really is worse, feels like it should be though... Any way, we need to be ready to, and to do, the work. Period. Otherwise, no real point in going down the road at all.
It's The Planning That Counts
I'm not convinced actual plans are worth much. Things change, life happens. But planning, planning is super important. And that will give you a plan, which is useful I guess so you don't forget things, but plans need to be constantly adapting and changing. We need to make sure we're ready to adapt our plans, and to not feel like failures if they change. Pretty much all plans change because, life.
